Software Engineer in Test – Lead

Job description

We are seeking a Software Engineer in Test (SET) Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating test strategies and plans, designing and executing test cases, and developing automated test scripts. The SET Lead will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet quality standards and that our testing processes are efficient and effective.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop test strategies and plans that align with business goals and objectives.
  • Design and execute test cases that verify the functionality and performance of our products.
  • Develop automated test scripts using Java and other automation tools.
  • Design and implement test automation frameworks that integrate with CI tools like Jenkins, GitHub, and other DevOps tools.
  • Manage a team of SETs, assign tasks, and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Perform code reviews to ensure that code meets quality standards and is free of defects.
  • Collaborate with developers and project managers to ensure that testing is integrated into the development process.
  • Communicate test results and status updates to stakeholders, including developers, project managers, and business leaders.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve our testing processes to ensure that they are efficient and effective.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest testing trends and technologies and apply them as appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience with Java programming language
  • Strong understanding of test case design, test reporting, and QA processes
  • Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, Cucumber, Karate, and Serenity
  • Experience with CI tools such as Jenkins and GitHub
  • Experience with AWS and containers is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage and lead a team of SETs
